MY STORY
VIKKI'S STORYAs a little girl I was fascinated with makeup, often raiding my mother's drawers for lipsticks! From the age of 14 I often went into Myers and DJ's and spent hours in the makeup department.I would sample makeup and buy kits. It was then I also learnt how valuable it was to take care of my skin, hence my skincare routine started which led to me being a skincare and makeup addict. From there I was always doing my friend's makeup and trying out different looks and that is where my passion grew.I have always loved the world of makeup. In 1992 I completed my diploma in Makeup Artistry and Technology in Adelaide, with Peacock Academy of Makeup Artistry & Technology and received Honours.I also learnt Japanese and started a career as Cabin Crew for 15 years, during which time I continued doing makeups for weddings; balls; special occasions; and photographers.I decided to learn the art of nails so I could compliment makeup and pursue that as a full time career. I studied Hairdressing for Makeup Artists, hence I am now a freelance Makeup Artist , Nail and Hair Stylist.I am a certified Minx Stylist - another one of my passions!I am the owner of Makeup N Nails andpart of a team of passionate beauty professionals offering our services for pamper parties with the Perth Glam Fairies.I am available for Editorial, Fashion, Portfolio, Fashion Shows, Events, Photoshoots, & weddings where I can offer my skills in Makeup, Nail Styling and Hair Styling! I also offer private turorials, Makeup, Minx and Shellac /Artistic Colour Gloss parties.I believe in continually updating my skills and have recently completed short courses at Tafe in Makeup Artistry ; Hair up and Make up with Gail Wilton; Shellac,; Minx Nails; Artistic Colour Gloss,; Hairstyling for Makeup Artists at WA Academy; advanced makeup workshop with Rae Morris.

I also provide "touch up kits (for a small fee).I will have your nails looking exceptional. Imagine poor nails ruining your treasured photos! - I offer manicures, pedicures, Minx nails, Shellac, Artistic Colour Gloss and nail art for You, your mum and all your bridesmaids.Don't forget the guys as well! I can have your hubby to be or groomsmen looking very sharp. NAILSI am a Master Nail Technician trained by CND Creative Nail Design. I have completed three Master courses with CND and will continue to further my education with them.I am also a certified Minx Stylist.My passion lies with Minx nails, however I love creating gorgeous nails using Artistic Colour Gloss, Shellac and Bellissima Gel.

Q. When should I have a make-up trial?A. 2 - 3 months before your wedding.Tip: Book early as bookings can be up to 12months in advanceQ. Should I start a beauty regime?A. Yes at least 2 - 3 months before as this will ensure your skin will be looking great.Tip: Cleanse, tone and moisturise daily, exfoliate once a week, facial mask every 1-2 weeks.Q. Do I need any beauty product with me on the day of the wedding? A. Yes , lipstick, gloss, powder. (I can provide these if required.) Tip: Increase water intake, this will keep your skin hydrated and reduce flaking. Start to apply lip balm every day this will keep your lips supple.Q. What can I do to reduce facial hair?A. There are a variety of things you can try such as threading, waxing, tweezing, hair removal creams.Tip: Avoid waxing on the day as this can leave redness. Have this done 1 or 2 days prior to your trial or day of event. Most people always do their eyebrows but don’t forget to also do your upper lip and chin if necessary.Q. How can I make my eyes stand out more?A. Simply have your lashes tinted or have eyelash extensions. This will help intensify your eyes.Look on my "Links" page for beauty therapists who can tint your lashes and brows, provide waxing and facials etc. and offer eyelash extensions.Q. I am thinking of having a tan for my wedding. Will that effect my trial? A. Please ensure you have your tan for your trial as well. This ensures your makeup on the day will be exactly as it is on the day of your trial.Q. Should I sign a wedding contract?A. Yes. It protects both parties and by signing a contract you know exactly what services you are getting and also stipulates time date and place of event.

If not, a parking space must be arranged and any fees for this are the responsibility of the client.I also provide relaxed in-home services at Ellenbrook.24 hours notice of cancellation would be appreciated or a fee of $50 will be incurred. Sunday bookings for weddings/photoshoots onlyI offer wedding contracts which are to be signed on day of trial if you are wanting me to hold the date of your wedding. 80% deposit is required to secure your wedding dateDeposits can be made by bank transfer or cash.Balance to be paid by cash on the day.Trials are conducted during the week and on Saturdays if possible, as you can appreciate, weekends are full with weddings.I use a variety of makeup brands: Giorgio Armani, Napoleon, Graftobian, Yaby, MAC, Kryolan, Revlon, OCC, Mehron, MUFE, Youngblood Mineral Makeup and Temptu ProAirbrush.
